County gathers input for using old schools

Washington County’s Board of Elections is on the move again — on an accelerated pace.

Less than three years after relocating the election headquarters from Plymouth to Roper in August 2022, county commissioners voted last week to approve another move — from the Washington County Center, the former Windows on the World, to the former middle school facility across town.

County Manager Curtis Potter told commissioners the move is crucial — and must be done swiftly — to accommodate the county schools’ plan to house its Early College High School in the Center...
