Deadline for voter registration in advance of the November general election is this week in North Carolina.

Unregistered citizens can register until 5 p.m., Friday, October 11, at election board offices in Washington, Tyrrell or Martin counties.

In-person early voting begins statewide Thursday, October 17, and runs through Saturday, November 2.

Individuals who miss that registration deadline may register and vote at the same time during the 17-day, in-person early voting period at any early voting site in their county.

Voting in Washington County is done at the election office at 114 North Railroad Street in Roper. In Tyrrell County, early voting is done at the board of elections office at 403 Main Street in Columbia. Early voters in Martin County can cast ballots at the county commissioners’ boardroom at 305 East Main Street in Williamston.
