Tyrrell County Schools (TCS) Superintendent Dr. Karen Roseboro has resigned her post effective November 8, according to a release issued Friday by the district. Roseboro has served in the post since October 2022, when she succeeded Oliver Holley, who was superintendent for three-and-a-half years.

Roseboro — a native of Anson County — will join Anson County Schools in North Carolina, supporting curriculum and instruction to help reverse the Anson County Schools low-performing test scores.

In the October 11 release, Roseboro cites achievements and expresses gratitude.

"I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to have served the students, staff and families of Tyrrell County Schools," she said. "Together, we achieved remarkable progress, and I am proud of our positive impact on our community..."
