Creswell residents again gathered in gratitude and patriotic pride at the local Ruritan Building where they honored the selfless sacrifices of America's heroes on Veterans Day.
Continuing the town’s long-standing tradition, residents, veterans and county officials came together to pay tribute to the brave men and women who have defended freedom's call, often at great personal cost.
This year's ceremony featured a number of guest speakers and a stirring musical performance by talented students from Pocosin Innovative Charter School.
Speakers included Plymouth’s Brickhouse Landing DAR member Denise Jones. Standing in for Martha Simpson, Jones spoke a bit about the group’s activities and their charitable contributions in the county and beyond...
