Longtime Washington County staffer Connie Barnes was named 2024 Employee of the Year in a brief ceremony before county commissioners Monday, January 6.

Commissioner Chair Carol Phelps bestowed the honor upon Barnes, who is a veteran of more than two decades in county ranks and the county’s current code enforcement officer.
