Assaults, break-ins top diverse jail bookings

A handful of repeat criminals were jailed in Washington County early in January on a variety of charges filed by Plymouth police, county deputies and state officers.

Charged in the various incidents are: Tyrone Jamal Boyd, Nicholas Roberson, Crystal Spruill, Marvel Barnes and Robert Earl Beasley

Boyd, a 35-year-old Plymouth man, faces several felony and misdemeanor charges in connection with a break-in and physical attacks at the Wilson Street home of a former girlfriend January 4.

According to Plymouth police, Boyd forced his way into the dwelling in the pre-dawn hours, assaulted the woman with a kitchen knife, slammed one of two youngsters living at the house to the ground and stole a phone and tablet valued at a total of $700...
