Town council meetings in Plymouth have been somewhat contentious in recent months, and Monday evening, March 17, provided another example.

After the meeting was called to order, Councilman Danny Wobbleton provided the opening prayer, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. Councilwoman Mary Nixon joined via Zoom and Councilman John Tharps was not at the meeting.
(1:53) Nixon asked citizens to, “bear with us in the meetings.” “We cannot help getting sick, we cannot help having death in our families, we cannot help any of these things.”
There was disagreement about the number of times Mayor Brian Roth called Nixon about a special meeting called for March 5, with Nixon saying the only call she got was on February 25 and Roth saying he called five times.
